The sun was shining, which has been a rare occasion here in Maine this summer.
Exploring forts is one of the kids favorite things to do, and this is a good one for that.

Skowhegan Fair time...

A light misty rain fell on the first day of the Skowhegan State Fair. It was enough to keep the crowds away but, not so much that it bothered us.

This little boy was so cute. After one of the horse competitions, he did his barrel run on his stick horse. He won a first place ribbon.

Here, was the walk, trot, egg on a spoon race. There were a couple that were very good at it.

In the zoo tent, they had two giraffes, a camel and a zebra.
